I don’t know about you, but I love history! I find it so interesting to know what went on in a particular area (even an area halfway around the world) because those people way back when, went through something so different than what we are experiencing now and I find that so surreal.

The history of Santa Monica and Rustic Canyon is amazing! As with all locations throughout California, Indians were the first settlers in the Canyon, the Gabrieleno Indians, according to one source.

I also found a great little writeup on the two canyons as well, that I thought my readers would love. It goes through the history and a lot of famous past residents of the area, it’s great and quite entertaining! I hope you enjoy it…
